ENSS captures 28th consecutive B of Q championship

BRIGHTON — East Northumberland Secondary School captured its 28th straight Bay of Quinte overall team track and field championship in Belleville on Wednesday.

At the Bruce Faulds Track and Field Complex at Mary Anne Sills Park, the Blue Dragons from Brighton accumulated 684 total team points on the strength of solid performances from their younger team members in grades 9 and 10 and nice balance from both boys and girls teams.

Their total was nearly 300 more than second place St. Theresa and third place Bayside. The Blue Dragon boys had 373 points for first, while Prince Edward Collegiate was second with 170 points.
